Cash And Cigarettes Stolen During Armed Robbery In East Belfast
Police are searching for two men following a robbery at a shop on the Albertbridge Road in east Belfast on Saturday evening.
The men entered the store, climbed over the counter and stole a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of money from the till at around 10.45pm.
One of the men was armed with a claw hammer.
They made off on foot in the direction of Glenmore Street.
No-one is believed to have been injured during the incident.
The first male is described as being around 6'2" tall and was wearing a grey coloured coat with black shoulder pads with the hood up. He also wore blue jeans, black shoes and yellow gloves, and was carrying the hammer.
The second male was shorter than the first and wore a grey coat with the hood up and a scarf over his face. He wore black tracksuit bottoms with a white motif on the right leg and black shoes and was carrying a black plastic recycling box.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

A woman has been left badly shaken following a robbery at her home in Newry. Two male youths, one armed with a knife, entered the house in Maryvale Road area at around 8pm on Saturday, 29 July. They demanded money and ransacked the house. The youths were describe as around 17-years old and spoke with a local accent.

A man has suffered a head injury after being attacked by four men in the Friendly Street area of south Belfast. The incident happened at around 7pm on Wednesday 09 January. The victim, aged in his 20's, has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
