Suspicious Object In Ballygowan Declared 'Elaborate Hoax'
A suspicious object found in Ballygowan, County Down, in the early hours of Friday morning has been declared an "elaborate hoax".
Residents had to be evacuated from their homes after the object was discovered in the Meadow Road area.
Bomb disposal officers attended the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Suspicious Object Found In Co Antrim Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax. The Mill Road in Newtownabbey has been reopened. Elsewhere, a suspicious object discovered on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast was also declared a hoax. The road reopened at around 4.20am on Wednesday, 13 July. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

North Belfast Security Alert Declared 'Elaborate Hoax'
A security alert in the Glencairn Street area of north Belfast has been declared an "elaborate hoax". Shortly before 11.30pm last night, Wednesday 19 July, it was reported that a suspicious object had been left on the windowsill of a house in the area. Officers attended the scene and closed Glencairn Street and several nearby streets.

Police and Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and the object caws declared a hoax. The area was sealed off, however it has since been reopened.

Maghera Security Alert Declared 'Elaborate Hoax'
A security alert in Maghera has been declared an "elaborate hoax". The alert began shortly after 4:35pm on Sunday, 12 November, when it was reported to police that a suspicious object had been found at residential premises in the Sunnyside Drive area. A number of homes in the area were evacuated, as police conducted a public safety operation.
