Woman's body found in Antrim

A man has been arrested after a woman's body was found in Co Antrim early this morning.

The body of the woman, who was believed to be around 39-years-old, was found at Mallusk Gardens in Antrim shortly before 1.30am on Thursday.

Police have appealed for anyone with information on the death to contact them.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out on the body.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Woman's body found on north Antrim coast
A post mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of a woman who was found along the north Antrim coast yesterday. The body was discovered by a member of the public near Portballintrae at around 4.30pm. However, police do not suspect foul play.

County Antrim Search Ends
The police and coastguard have ended a search off the County Antrim coast following the discovery of a body at Waterfoot at the weekend. The emergency services have said that they were carrying out the searches as a precaution as it was not known whether there was anyone else with the man that was found on Sunday.

Police Appeal For Parents Of Baby Found Dead In 1984
Police have issued an appeal for the parents of a baby boy found dead on the banks of the River Lagan on 21 February 1984. A woman out walking her dog found the babies body inside a green plastic bag at Legacurry Road in Lisburn 30 years ago. A post-mortem examination found that the baby had died of head injuries.
