Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder

Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder.

The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon.

Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Two Police Officers Injured in Derry Ramming Incident
Two police officers sustained injuries and their patrol car was damaged in a collision early Monday morning, 21 October, as they responded to a report of a suspected drink-driver. The incident unfolded around midnight when police received information about a silver Mercedes being driven erratically on Shipquay Street.

PSNI Chief Constable Jon Boutcher has welcomed Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, to the Northern Ireland Police College, Garnerville, on Monday 19 August. The Chief Constable and Sir Keir met a number of officers injured during recent disorder in Belfast and L'Derry.

Man Jailed For Sexual Assault Of 'Vulnerable Young Woman'
The PSNI has welcomed the sentencing of a 63-year-old man for sexual offences against a "vulnerable young woman" while working as a taxi driver in October 2017. Paul Bryan, from the Republic of Ireland, was sentenced at Londonderry Crown Court for sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault of an 18 year old woman.
