One Killed In Serious Motorway Crash

One person has died and another seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on the M1 near Dungannon, County Tyrone.

The crash, between a car and a lorry, happened just after 5pm on Monday.

The motorway was closed in both directions, however it has now re-opened.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Motorcyclist Killed In Portadown Crash
A motorcyclist has died following a collision in County Armagh. The man, aged in his 20's, was involved in a crash with a white Ford Focus on the Dobbin Road in Portadown on Wednesday, 10 October. The crash happened shortly before 10.30pm. The road was closed in both directions for a period but has since been reopened.

New Defence Heritage Record Launched
Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has welcomed the launch of a new Defence Heritage Record, a comprehensive resource detailing over 4,500 sites constructed across Northern Ireland in response to World War One and Two, as well as the Cold War.
