Four Charged With Attempting To Smuggle Cannabis
Four men have been charged with attempting to smuggle cannabis into Northern Ireland.
The cannabis resin was concealed within pallets of orange juice and is believed to have a street value of more than £800,000.
Following a joint National Crime Agency (NCA) and PSNI operation, three men in Camlough and a man in Birmingham were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import a controlled drug on Thursday 23 April.
A 51 year old man of Hall Green, Birmingham, and a 62 year old man of Tyseley, Birmingham, have both been charged with fraudulently importing a class B controlled drug, possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, conspiracy to fraudulently import a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug.
A 36 year old man of Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford,has been charged with importing a controlled drug and conspiracy to fraudulently import a class B controlled drug.
A 53 year old man of Bridgnorth, Shropshire, has been charged with conspiracy to fraudulently import a class B controlled drug.

Fourteen Sentenced In East Belfast UVF Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. The defendants were sentenced over the five-week period, from 11 January to 16 February, at Belfast Crown Court.
