Police Appeal Following Armed Robbery In East Belfast
A man armed with a knife has robbed a shop in east Belfast.
The incident occurred at premises on the Albertbridge Road at approximately 7.40am on Saturday morning.
The man climbed over the counter and stole cigarettes and cash.
He made off on foot in the direction of Glenmore Street.
He is described as around 5' 10" tall of stocky build. He was wearing a hoody with the hood up and a baseball cap underneath.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man arrested following east Belfast stabbing
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in the Mount area of East Belfast. The victim, a 42-year-old man, sustained a stab wound to the chest and was taken to hospital where his description is described as "serious but stable." The attack occurred at around 8.20am on Monday.

Former east Belfast UDA leader Jim Gray has had his bank accounts frozen, Banbridge Magistrates Court heard today. The 47-year-old, who was charged at the weekend with possessing and concealing criminal property but who denies the charges, appeared by video link from Maghaberry Prison and spoke only to confirm his name.

Man Armed With Suspected Firearm Targets East Belfast Shop
An employee at a shop in east Belfast has been left badly shaken after being threatened with a suspected firearm in an armed robbery. The incident occurred at Orangefield Place shortly after 5pm on Tuesday 23 April. The masked man entered the premises armed with what is believed to have been a handgun, threatening the male member of staff.

Armed Gang Threaten Man To Leave East Belfast
A gang of men armed with baseball bats and a suspected firearm have threatened a man and ordered him to leave east Belfast during an aggravated break-in. The incident took place at a house on Island Street at around 9pm on Monday 17 December. Three men are believed to have been involved, one carrying a suspected gun and two were armed with bats.

Armed Burglar Threatens Man In East Belfast
An armed burglar has threatened a man at his home in east Belfast. The thief held a knife to the man's throat after he returned to his home in the Trillick Street area at around 9pm on Tuesday. The man disturbed the intruder as he was ransacking his house. He threatened him with a knife and fled from the scene. The man was not injured.
