Man Attacked With Hammer In L'Derry

A 19-year-old man has been assaulted with a hammer in L'Derry.

The victim was attacked at Ard Grange on Wednesday. He suffered a head injury.

Police have arrested a man, 28, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and having an offensive weapon.

No further details have been released.

Man Attacked In Strabane
A man has been attacked in Strabane, Co Tyrone. The assault happened in the Carlton Drive area between 1pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, 21 February. The victim was assaulted during an altercation with a number of men. He sustained a broken nose and bruising, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A man has sustained a serious head injury after being assaulted in Ballycastle. The 28-year-old was attacked on Castle Street at around 2.30am on Sunday, 29 October. A 32-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of grevous bodily harm. The victim is currently being treated in hospital.

Three people have been arrested after a woman was allegedly attacked in Lurgan. The woman sustained cuts to her face during the attack in the William Street area at around 8pm on Sunday, 29 May.

Police have confirmed that an 18-year-old man has been charged following a disturbance in the Shankill area of Belfast on Friday, 12 October. He is due to appear in court on Monday 15 October. Three people were arrested at a house in Percy Street.

Police Officer Attacked During Arrest In Co Tyrone
The PSNI have condemned attacks on emergency personnel after a police officer was attacked and injured while making an arrest in Co Tyrone. An officer sustained facial injuries when he was attacked as he and a colleague arrested a man suspected of assault in an incident at Corick Road, Clogher, shortly before 01:00am on Thursday.
