"I am extremely proud of my policing career in NI dating back to 1986. I have witnessed significant change along that journey and now hope to utilise these skills within my new role in West Midlands.

"The people I have worked with, at all ranks across both the RUC and PSNI, are among the finest police officers in the world. I learned much from each of them, through their courage and professionalism. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my colleagues for their support and encouragement as I embark on this new phase in my career."
