Police Vehicles Attacked In L'Derry

Shots were fired at police vehicles in L'Derry on Wednesday night.

The vehicles were attacked by a gang of youths in the Leafair Gardens area at approximately 9.50pm.

Two of the vehicles were damaged during the attack, however there were no injuries.

A man, 17, was arrested for disorderly behaviour, but was released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Police Attacked During Search Operation In L'Derry
Police have come under attack in L'Derry while attempting to carry out search operations. Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force were carrying out simultaneous searches at houses in L'Derry and Strabane, as part of an operation targeting the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA).

Two Men Attacked During Aggravated Burglary In Co Down
Two men have been injured after being attacked during an aggravated burglary in Newtownards, Co Down. A number of masked men, armed with weapons, attacked a house in the Shackleton Walk area at around 9.40pm on Thursday, 16 November. Two men, who were in the property at the time, were assaulted in what police described as a "savage attack".

Masked Men Assault Man In Coleraine
Four masked men have attacked a man in Cookstown and told him to leave the country. The incident happened in the Gortacar Road area at around 11.30pm on Saturday. The thugs broke into the property and attacked the victim, aged in his 20s, with bats. He sustained cuts and bruises, according to the police. The men made off in two vehicles.

Cars Burnt Out In L'Derry Arson
Four vehicles have been destroyed in an arson attack in L'Derry. The incident took place shortly before midnight on Monday 29 July, in the Barrs Lane area of the city. According to police, two vehicles were set on fire deliberately while another two parked in the vicinity also caught fire. Each of the vehicles was destroyed by the fire.
