Employment And Skills Event To Be Held In The City Hall

An employment and skills event is to be held in the City Hall in Belfast next month.

The Citywide Employment and Skills event is taking place on Wednesday 15th April from 10am to 4pm and has been organised by Belfast City Council in partnership with the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL).

Showcasing a number of current and upcoming opportunities created as a result of the council’s Investment Programme and other key capital projects across Belfast, the event is the first social clause event of its kind and is aimed specifically for people who are unemployed.

Attendees to the free event can find out about job and apprenticeship opportunities and social clause contracts represented through council projects like the Olympia Leisure Centre, Connswater Community Greenway and Girdwood Community Hub. They can also hear about other citywide projects like Windsor Park Stadium, the Ulster Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital Cardiology Lab, social housing projects and road maintenance projects.

They will have the chance to meet employers, take part in one-to-one interviews, gain help with job applications and avail of online jobsearch facilities.
