Man Arrested Over Suspected Cannabis Find

Police have arrested a man in L'Derry after discovering the remnants of a cannabis factory in the Waterside area.

The discovery was made during a search at Prehen Park on Wednesday night.

A 29-year-old man was arrested after a small quantity of suspected cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia was found.

The man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police discovered the cannabis factory at a house in the Keenaghan Road area on Tuesday. A quantity of herbal cannabis and a number of suspected cannabis plants in various stages of growth were seized.

Suspected cannabis factory uncovered in east Belfast
Police in east Belfast have uncovered a suspected cannabis factory following the search of a property in the area yesterday afternoon. During the raid at the house in the Albertbridge Road area of the city, police recovered 35 mature cannabis plants, and other paraphernalia.
