10-Year-Old Girl Finds Drugs In Playground
A girl has found a bag of drugs in a playground in Downpatrick, Co Down, police have confirmed.
The 10-year-old discovered the bag of white powder in a park on the Colmcille Road and took it to an adult.
The package was tested and contained the amphetamine known as speed.
A police officer posted on Facebook: "It's probably a parent's worst nightmare for their child to find something like this, never mind where they thought was a place of safety.
"Thankfully they had the sense to not open it, but to give it to a grown up!"

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Three released after school shooting
A 13-year-old boy was among three people released on bail pending further enquiries after a shooting at a County Antrim school yesterday afternoon. The schoolboy was the first to be arrested after an air rifle was fired into the playground of Dunclug College at lunchtime.
