Lisburn & Castlereagh Council Launch New Brand
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council launched its new Council brand today. The launch took place at the new Council's headquarters, Lagan Valley Island in Lisburn,.
The brand's blue palate depicts the graduated merging together of the two former councils’ corporate colours. The brand has been designed to overlap in a circular style and its baseline is inspired by the River Lagan, on which the Council’s headquarters building sits.
Presiding Councillor, Cllr James Tinsley, said: "This modern brand embodies a new era and new style of local government. It also gives cognisance to former Council identities in the chosen colour palate.
"Plans are in place to begin rolling out the new brand and this work will be phased-in over a period of time. Current vinyl graphics will be replaced on Council vehicles as will signage, to build visibility of the new Council. We will officially take up our responsibility as the new local government authority for Lisburn and Castlereagh on 1st April 2015."
