Teamwear Ireland To Create Five New Jobs
Belfast-based sportswear provider, Teamwear Ireland, has announced it is creating five new jobs as part of a £300,000 investment supported by Invest Northern Ireland.
Teamwear Ireland plans to recruit two marketing managers and three additional sales and production staff to drive its expansion. The investment will focus on marketing the firm’s own basketball kit brand, Wingfoot, to professional and club teams throughout Great Britain and Europe.
Invest NI has offered £48,000 towards the creation of these new positions as well as Teamwear Ireland's market research and sales development activities.
Co-Director Peter Cooke, said: "We identified basketball and the supply of basketball kits as a growth area for our business and developed our own brand, Wingfoot, to capitalise on the growing popularity of this sport across Europe.
"This investment is aiming at rolling out the Wingfoot brand and raising our profile among the professional Basketball leagues in Spain, Greece and Eastern Europe.
"Invest NI's support is enabling us to accelerate our marketing activities and recruit the staff needed to drive our business growth in this new arena."
