L'Derry Woman Dies Following Volcano Trek

A young physiotherapist from L'Derry has died in Indonesia after suffering extreme altitude sickness on a volcano trek.

Lisa Orsi was pronounced dead in the early hours of Friday morning after transplant surgery at Singapore General Hospital.

Ms Orsi donated nine organs.

In a statement her parents, Dennis and Sharon, said: "Lisa was a bubbly, caring person whose infectious joy for life endeared her to so many people.

"We take comfort in their prayers and well-wishes at this time.

"Even in this dark hour we can look to take solace from knowing that even in her death Lisa's generosity has brought new life to others and given them a second chance."

Ms Orsi fell into a coma after collapsing in the shower in East Java last month.
