Two Arrested Over Co Antrim Woman's Disappearance

Police investigating the disappearance of 61-year-old Pauline Carmichael have arrested two men.

Ms Carmichael has been missing from her home in Hillside, Antrim, since Monday night.

Two men, aged 37 and 59, have been arrested.

Police also renewed their appeal for anyone with any information on Ms Carmichael to contact them.

She is described as approximately 5'4" with blond hair. It is believed that when last seen she was wearing pink pyjamas.

Man Charged With Murder Of Pauline Carmichael
Police investigating the death of Pauline Carmichael have charged a 37-year-old man with her murder. Ms Carmichael's body was found on the shore of Lough Neagh on Wednesday. A search operation was launched following the 61-year-old's disappearance two days earlier, on Monday. Police had arrested two men in connection with her disappearance.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
