London Firm To Create Fifty New Jobs In Belfast

Fifty new jobs are to be created in Belfast by London-based software firm Intelligent Environments.

The company, which provides mobile and online software to financial firms, is investing in a new engineering centre supported by Invest NI.

It is understood the firm is looking for "highly skilled" workers for jobs that will pay an average salary of £42,000.

Managing Director David Webber said: "We were first alerted to the benefits of locating in Northern Ireland by Invest NI's London team and after comparing it to a number of other sites in the UK, Ireland, India and Europe we concluded that Belfast offers the best location for our new product development centre."

A leading charity has said that around 50% of people who die in Northern Ireland do not have a will. The Simon Community revealed the statistic as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the issue of being intestate. The campaign involves Belfast law firm Francis Hanna and Company assisting people to make out a will free of charge.
