Five Firms 'Not Paying Minimum Wage'
Five Northern Irish companies have been named in a government list of firms failing to pay their staff the UK minimum wage.
The five NI firms join a list of seventy others who do not pay the standard minimum wage for workers over 21, which stands at £6.50 per hour.
The five companies are:
• Manleys Ltd, Belfast
• Julie Ann Wright, trading as The Worx, Portadown
• Phillip and Lorraine Campbell, trading as Supervalu, Kells, Ballymena
• Grove Mechanical Services Ltd, Magherafelt
• Kevin and Bernadette Farrell, trading as Derrygonnelly Autos, County Fermanagh.
The publication of business names is part of a series of new rules aimed at "cracking down" on companies not complying with the law.

'A' Level School Leavers Increase 5%
The number of pupils in Northern Ireland achieving two or more 'A' levels or equivalent increased by 4.9% during the five years to 2012/13, according to the Department of Education. The proportion of school leavers achieving two or more 'A' levels or equivalent was 55.1%, up from from 50.2% in 2008/09.

Police Appeal to Help Find Stolen Star Trek Cards
Police have issued an appeal to help trace 3,800 Star Trek trading cards of "quite high value". The cards were stolen from a property in L'Derry on Monday, 05 June. On a Facebook post a PSNI spokesperson said: "A burglary has occurred in the city and approx 3800 Star Trek trading cards were stolen and these have quite a high value.

Plans To Extend Sunday Trading Hours Rejected
Plans to extend Sunday trading hours in Northern Ireland have been rejected following a vote at Belfast City Council. The council voted 12-3 opposing the the move. The DUP, Sinn Fein and the SDLP were all against the proposals.
