NI 'Outperforming UK Housing Market'
The housing market in Northern Ireland outperformed the rest of the UK last month, new figures from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has revealed.
An increase in buyer enquiries, a stronger price growth and higher confidence in the market has contributed to the performance.
NI's housing market had the strongest price momentum for the fifth month in a row, with 47% more respondents reporting increases in prices.
Looking at the other UK regions, Scotland recorded the greatest buyer interest, while in England and Wales, the findings revealed a continuation of a cooling market, with price growth all but levelled off.

The rapid rise in UK house prices has slowed to a more realistic pace according to the latest report from market analysts Hometrack. The analysts found that the price of the average house in the UK rose by 0.7% in August, which Hometrack attributed to a "reality check" in the market. Previously in May there was a staggering one-month rise of 2.6%.
