Seven people injured in road crash

Seven people have been treated in hospital following a road traffic accident on the outskirts of Belfast.

The incident occurred on the Pantridge Road in Poleglass at around 10pm on Thursday night.

A Vauxhall Cavalier, carrying five people including a baby, collided with a taxi, which was carrying its female driver and her two children. Those injured, including the three children, were taken to hospital, however their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police had earlier set up a stinger device after the Vauxhall failed to stop at a checkpoint.

The Police Ombudsman has been informed about the incident.

Shots Fired At House In L'Derry
Police have said shots have been fired at a house in Maghera, Co L'derry. Five people, including two children, were in the property on Drumlane Road at the time of the incident. No one was injured in the attack, but police have said they have been left shaken. The incident was reported to police around 11pm on Wednesday night.
