NI’s Hilton hotels celebrate a double knockout

It was a double knockout for Hilton’s hotels in Northern Ireland recently when Wolfgang Neumann, newly appointed President of Hilton Hotels UK and Ireland, visited the province to help the Belfast and Templepatrick Hilton hotels celebrate being voted in the top three of the groups 78 hotels in the UK for offering the best in customer service.

They entered the top three positions over the past year in an external quarterly survey beating off other prestigious hotels in the group.

Mr Newmann also officially launched the “It’s a Knockout competition” - based on the old TV games show which was organized by the hotel group to raise funds for the Hilton Foundation- a fund set up to raise money for both local and national charities.

Some of Northern Ireland’s top businesses took part in the event held at Hilton Templepatrick including Stena Line, Belfast International Airport, Bank of Ireland, Livingwell Health Clubs and ICS computing.

Mr Neumann said: ‘The Hilton in the Community Foundation does fantastic work for local communities, all supported wholly by donations from Hilton guests, employees, friends and suppliers. An event like this in Northern Ireland just goes to show that the legendary generosity of spirit for which this region is famed is far more than just legend.’

Commenting on of the Hilton customer survey results, Patrick Stapleton, Area General Manager for Hilton Northern Ireland said: “We are proud to be recognised for this superb achievement, not only for our staff but also for Northern Ireland as a whole”

Hilton UK & Ireland currently operate 78 hotels with over 15,000 bedrooms and 15,000 staff throughout the country.

Located in the redeveloped Laganside riverfront area, the 195-room Hilton Belfast is the city centre’s only five star hotel. Hilton Templepatrick, 130 bedroom hotel, located 15 minutes drive from Belfast’s city centre and five minutes from Belfast International Airport.
