Appeal Following Armed Robbery

Police have appealed for information following an armed robbery in north Belfast.

At around 11.35pm on Tuesday (27 January), a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a suspected firearm entered a filling station on the Crumlin Road and demanded money from the till.

He escaped with a sum of cash and headed in the direction of Oldpark.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Work Continues On Park & Ride Facility

Construction work is continuing at a new Park & Ride facility in south Antrim.

The £2.5m investment is expected to be completed by late spring and will provide 430 free car parking spaces for users.

To date, the project team have successfully installed temporary traffic management arrangements, completed 80% of site drainage, formed water retention ponds, installed car park 'sub bases' and constructed 50% of the new roundabout. Work is continuing on site fencing, main carriageway widening and the construction of a new bus access road.

The facility is located just off the M2 motorway, near Templepatrick.

Woman Injured After Being Struck By Car

A woman has been injured after she was struck by a car in east Belfast.

The victim, 30, was hit by the vehicle on Templemore Avenue shortly after 7.30am on Tuesday morning.

The incident involved a white Fiat Punto and occurred near the Castlereagh Street junction, after the vehicle turned onto Templemore Avenue from Castlereagh Street.

The woman's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Man Charged With Colin Horner Murder
A man is due to appear in court today, Monday 19 June, charged in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner was shot dead as he held his young son in a supermarket car park in Bangor, Co Down on Sunday 28 May. Police investigating the murder arrested a 29-year-old man on Friday 16 June.

Number Of RoI Car Park Transactions Increases By 135%
The number of Republic of Ireland (RoI) car park transactions for the period 14 July to 14 August increased by 135% on the same period last year, according to Belfast International Airport. The airport also confirmed it has seen a surge in the number of passengers coming from the RoI.

Police Appeal After Shots Fired At Car In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a parked car in Dungiven, L'Derry. The attack happened just after 10pm on Monday in the Hass Park area. According to police, a man wearing a hooded top fired two shots at the parked car, which was empty at the time of the incident.
