DPP members win entitlement to time off work

Members of District Policing Partnerships will now be entitled to time off, during working hours, in order to fulfil their duties.

A spokesperson for the Department of Employment and Learning (DEL) said the new right would help to facilitate the effective operation of the partnerships.

The Time Off for Public Duties (No 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003, comes into operation on 24 August.
