Viagogo To Create 100 New Jobs
Minister for Education and Skills and Labour TD for Limerick City, Jan O'Sullivan TD, has welcomed the jobs boost announced by Viagogo, the world's largest ticket marketplace.
She said: "The expansion of Viagogo operations in Limerick is very positive news. The company opened in a temporary location last year, with the recruitment of 100 staff. Now the number of Viagogo jobs will double over the coming three years. This decision is a real vote of confidence in Limerick and the talented workforce that is available here."

Filtertek Ireland Announce 35 New Jobs
Fine Gael TD for Limerick, Patrick O’Donovan, has welcomed the announcement by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, that Filtertek Ireland are to create an additional 35 new jobs at their Newcastle West plant.

Offshore Company Axes Jobs
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Dundee have been axed after an offshore services company ceased trading. Oceanteam Power and Umbilical has been forced to close when the firm's holding company withdrew its financial support. Staff are based in Aberdeen, at workshops in Dundee and offshore.

Jobs Boost At Maynooth
More than 150 jobs are set to be created in Co Kildare during the construction of a new research building at NUI Maynooth. Around €15m is being invested in the state-of-the-art facility. The construction posts will be rolled out over the next year.

Couglan Meets Mayors To Discuss Manufacturing Jobs Blow
The Irish Trade Minister has held talks with elected representatives in the mid-west to discuss a way forward, after the axing of 1,900 manufacturing jobs in Limerick. Mary Coughlan met with the mayors of Limerick City and counties Clare and North Tipperary.
