Belfast To Dublin Airport Rail Line Considered

Plans are being considered for a direct railway line between Belfast and Dublin Airport.

Irish Rail is understood to be considering the introduction of a new line allowing those travelling from Belfast to the airport to use the railway.

It is believed that no timetable or budget is yet being considered for the proposal, with the rail company saying it is exploring the idea.

Any rail link proposal would need the approval of the South's Department of Transport.
