Man Arrested Over Weapons Find

A 52-year-old man is being questioned by police in connection with the discovery of a cache of weapons in west Belfast.

Police recovered guns and ammunition, and what is believed to be pipe bomb making parts, during the search of a house on Forest Street on Saturday night.

A number of residents were removed from their homes while army bomb disposal officers examined the suspected bomb parts.

All items where removed from the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

Weekend Bomb Attacks Condemned
A spate of bomb attacks over the weekend has been condemned by the First and deputy First Minister and parties across the political spectrum. A police patrol was attacked with a pipe bomb in County Tyrone on Saturday. A security alert began in the Ballycolman estate, Strabane, at about 20:25, following news that something had been thrown at police.

Early Morning Petrol Bomb Attack Racial
A foreign national woman who is eight months pregnant was among four people targeted in a petrol bomb attack at the weekend. Police believe that the incident - in County Tyrone - was racial in its nature.

TWO PENSIONERS ESCAPE INJURY IN PETROL BOMB ATTACK
TWO elderly Protestant sisters have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack on their East Belfast home. The women, aged 73 and 79, escaped injury after a passing police patrol discovered a fire at their home and forced their way into the house in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Viable Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A viable pipe bomb has been found in north Belfast, police have confirmed. Police and army bomb experts discovered the device in the garden of a house in Shore Crescent on Monday. The pipe bomb has been removed for further examination. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Arrested After Gun Is Found In West Belfast
A woman has been arrested after a suspected gun, ammunition and other items were found in west Belfast. Police were alerted to the property in Magnolia Park in Twin Brook on Sunday. Officers from the army bomb squad removed the items for forensic testing. The woman has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
