Labour Leader Delivers Keynote Speech To NI Business Owners
Labour leader Ed Miliband said the best way NI can support the peace process is through economic development.
Mr Miliband delivered a keynote speech to business owners at the Titanic Quarter on Wednesday night.
First Minister Peter Robinson and Minster for Employment and Learning Stephen Farry also attended the event.
In his speech Mr Miliband said: "What I promise, if there is a Labour government, and indeed in advance of the general election, is a Labour Party that will work with the business community, that will work with civil society, that will work with the people of Northern Ireland, on those challenges that you face."
He also said that economic and social development must of hand in hand with efforts to secure the peace process.
Mr Miliband will meet with NI leaders at Stormont today to discuss how a Labour government would work with Northern Ireland.
