Shortly before 5am this morning (21 January), police said two "young males" entered a taxi office on the Falls Road. They got a taxi to Lower Cupar Street in the city where they then threatened the driver with knives. The driver got out of the car and the hijackers drove off.
The car was later found abandoned in the St Peters Court area.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
Further Injury Woes For Ulster
Ulster Rugby has been hit with even more injury woes following the team's game against Toulon at the weekend.
The fixture, which saw Ulster lose a record 60-22 to the French side, resulted in Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding receiving injuries.
Jackson, 23, suffered a dislocated elbow and the club has said he will require surgery. He will be out for 10 to 12 weeks, and subsequently has been ruled out of Ireland's Six Nations campaign.
Olding, 22, is also said to be out of the running for this year's Six national campaign after he sustained "significant ligament damage" to his elbow. He too will require surgery and is expected to be out for 10 to 12 weeks.
Louis Ludik was also forced from the field early in the game. He suffered a fractured rib and is expected to be back playing before the end of February.
