NI Hit Hard By Heavy Snow
The north west of Northern Ireland has been hit hard by snow and sleet this morning, leading to disruption of traffic and the closure of many schools.
The Met Office has currently placed a 'yellow' weather warning for snow and ice across the majority of the UK.
While heavy snow fell across most of Northern Ireland overnight and into Wednesday morning, the north west of the region was hardest it.
The Western Education and Library Board has confirmed a number of closures, which are available via the BBC NI website.
A number of bus services have also been disrupted. Translink said all services to L'Derry have been cancelled, but that trains will still be operating and tickets will be able to be transferred.
Bus services to Limavady have also been cancelled, along with some services to Omagh.
The PSNI has warned motorists to take care on the roads and to be prepared for disruption to travel.
