Belfast To Verona Flight Launches

A new flight from Belfast to Verona has been announced by Belfast International Airport.

Jet2.com launched the new route today as part of a group of new destinations that includes Prague, Rome, Gran Canaria and Zante.

Weekly flights to Verona will operate between 20 May and 23 September 2015.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "Next year is going to be our biggest one yet at Belfast International Airport, with a total of 18 destinations plus an additional aircraft. Our latest route, Verona, is a fantastic place to visit and I'm sure it will prove very popular."

Graham Keddie, managing director, Belfast International Airport, added: "Verona is another great addition to the route network at Belfast International Airport and we are delighted that both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are committed to developing new services from Belfast."

Aer Lingus To Move To City Airport

bmi to concentrate services at Belfast City
bmi has announced that it is to discontinue its Heathrow service from Belfast International Airport (BIA) and concentrate resources in Belfast City Airport. However, bmi will maintain a presence at BAI as bmibaby will be including Belfast International as a destination to be served from a new UK base to be announced shortly.

Easyjet Takes Off For Manchester
Budget carrier easyJet will launch new flights from Belfast International Airport to Manchester this autumn. From 30 October, the airline's new flights will take off twice-daily will depart out of Belfast on Monday to Friday at 7.10am and 8.25pm, Saturday at 8.15am and 7.30pm and Sunday at 7.40am and 7.15pm.

Irish Deal Halts Air Travel Chaos
