Man Shot With 'BB'Gun
Police are appealing for information after a man was shot with a 'BB' gun in Belfast on Friday evening.
The incident occurred in Iverna Street. Police received a report that at about 19:10 a man shot a 33-year-old man with what is believed to be a 'BB' gun. The victim suffered injuries to his face and abdomen and was taken to hospital for injuries not believed to be life threatening.
The attacker then made off on foot in the direction of Donegall Road.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the PSNI at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Appeal After 'Distraction' Burglary
Detectives in Newry, County Down have appealed for information following a report of a distraction burglary and people acting suspiciously.
Sometime between 13:00 and 14:00 on Friday, two unknown males called to the house of an elderly woman in the Millview Park area of Richhill.
The men said they were there to check her cooker. They entered the house, looked at the cooker and then left. It is not believed that anything has been stolen.
Police then received a report at about 16:00 later that day that a man in the Cloveneden Road area of Loughgall had observed three men acting suspiciously at the rear of his home. They were in a silver car.
When the man asked them what they were doing, they told him they were "looking for someone."
Then just before 16:30 it was reported that an unknown man had called to the home of an elderly man in the Drumanphy Road area of Portadown, County Armagh, enquiring about replacing electricity poles.
The householder went outside and came back into his house, where he discovered two unknown males inside. They ran out the front door and it is believed they they left the scene in a car. It was subsequently discovered that a sum of money had been stolen.
Police have asked anyone who noticed any suspicious activity to contact Detectives at Newry on the non-emergency number 101. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Omagh Farmer Convicted
A farmer in Omagh, County Tyrone, has been convicted of one charge of fraud by false representation and one charge of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
Richard Beattie, Glenpark Road, pleaded guilty on Friday at Omagh Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay a compensation order of £1,572. He received a conditional discharge for 12 months.
The second charge arose from a routine inspection at Gortin Market in November 2013, when the Central Enforcement Team discovered a sheep with an injured leg. The sheep was subsequently humanely destroyed by a Department Veterinary Officer.
Man Hit By Car, Banbridge
A man has been hit by a car outside Banbridge, County Down, in the early hours of Sunday.
The incident occurred on the Lurgan Road area of Seapatrick and was reported to police on Sunday at around 01:45.
The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for injuries where he is in a stable condition.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an assault in the Ardilea Park area of Downpatrick in the early hours of Sunday morning, 10 December. A 22-year-old man was found with serious stab wounds at a house in the Killough Road area just after 4am. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry. A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police. One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.
