Review Underway Into NI Electricity Bills
A review is currently being undertaken by the Utility Regulator into Northern Ireland's electricity tariffs, which could see changes to electricity bills come into effect by April.
"As the regulator of Power NI we continuously monitor the components that make up the company’s electricity tariff," a statement said. "This monitoring has led to us commencing a review of Power NI’s regulated electricity tariffs. It is expected that the review will conclude during February."
The Regulator also said it had been progressing a review of regulated gas tariffs, in respect of Airtricity Gas Supply (for the Greater Belfast area) and firmus energy (for the Ten Towns area).
It is also expected that these reviews will conclude in February to allow any changes to take effect from 1 April.
