Police Granted More Time To Question Arrested Men
Police have been granted more time to question two men in relation to the murder of a man in east Belfast just before Christmas.
Matthew Goddard, 41, was found dead at his home in Chobham Street on Christmas Eve. He was last seen alive the previous day.
On Tuesday, two men, aged 29 and 35, were detained on Tuesday night as part of the investigation. Today, police at Antrim's Serious Crime Branch confirmed they had been given more time to question them. In addition, a third man who was detained in east Belfast on Wednesday evening remains in custody in relation to the murder.
Police have appealed for information.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
