Two Charged Over Terrorism Offences

Two more men have been charged with terrorism offences in relation to dissident republican activity, police have said.

A 41-year-old man was charged with attending and receiving explosives training, while a 54-year-old man was charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion. Both were also charged with membership of a proscribed organisation.

The men were arrested in Newry on Monday.

Following an undercover operation in Ardcarn Park, Newry, last month, 12 men were arrested at a property on the street. Eight have since appeared in court.

It is understood the men were questioned as part of an investigation into the Continuity IRA.
