Police In Cookstown Appeal For Witnesses To Machete Robbery
Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in a pound shop in Cookstown.
According to police a man armed with a machete threatened staff at the shop in the retail park on Orritor Road at about 19:30 on Monday.
He escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
No one was injured in the robbery.

An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a shop in Newry on Wednesday, 28 February. At around 9.30pm, a man entered the shop on Canal Street and threatened staff with a knife. The suspect demanded money and is said to have fled the scene with a unknown sum of cash.

Police in Cookstown have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a jewellers shop yesterday evening. The incident happened shortly after 5pm, when a man armed with a handgun entered the shop on the Durn Road area of the town. He proceeded to threaten staff before making off with a quantity of gold chains and watches.

A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast. The robbery happened at a shop on Caffrey Avenue at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February. The suspect threatened a member of staff and made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes. He was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February, and has been detained in police custody.
