100 Vacancies At December Jobs Fair

100 job vacancies are to be offered up to attendees to an employment event at the Holiday Inn on Ormeau Avenue in Belfast on 17 December.

Minister for Employment Dr Stephen Farry announced the event, which will include employers in the Belfast area who wish to recruit staff.

The companies involved are BT, Firstsource Solutions, Concentrix, Teleperformance and Convergys and will have over 100 vacancies on offer.

The Minister said: "This recruitment and job interview event brings employers and jobseekers together under one roof, and allows attendees to avail of up to five interviews on the day, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

"My Department’s Careers Service and Employment Service will also provide individuals with information, advice and guidance on a range of training and employment schemes. These can help equip people with the skills to compete in the labour market and meet the needs of employers both now and in the future."

All employers at the event will carry out ten-minute presentations to groups of participants, who will rotate around each employer station. Candidates will also have an opportunity to talk to the company directly and ask questions.
