St George's Market To Open In Christmas Run-Up
Belfast City Council has confirmed the opening hours for St George's Market in the run up to Christmas.
Three extra trading days have been added – Monday December 22 and Tuesday 23, from 10:00 to 21:00 and Wednesday 24 from 08:00 to 14:00.
The Market will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and will reopen on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December.
It will then close Friday January 2 but open as normal on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December.
Belfast City Council's car parks in Raphael Street and Ormeau Avenue are also open and free to use from 09:00 to 21:00 each Saturday in December.
St George's Market was built between 1890 and 1896 and has been selected for numerous local and national titles and awards.
It was named the UK's Best Large Indoor Market 2014 by the National Association of British Market Authorities and was voted the nation's favourite Heritage project in the 2014 National Lottery Awards.

Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has announced an innovative new scheme to create jobs and meet the needs of employers. The Labour Market Partnerships (LMP) initiative will see targeted employment action plans created in every council area to support people towards and into work, including young people and those with disabilities.

Dept Of Health: 'Get Boosted For Christmas'
All adults eligible for their booster are being encouraged to get the jab at one of the many vaccination clinics in operation this week. As of yesterday, all those aged over 18 who received their second dose at least three months ago, can now take up the opportunity to get boosted.

NI Housing Market Slows In December
Activity within the Northern Ireland housing market was significantly quieter in December 2022, resulting in slower house price increases. House prices in December 2022 rose at the slowest rate since May 2020 according to the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Ulster Bank Residential Market Survey.

Shoppers at Northern Ireland’s most popular weekly market can now have greater peace of mind, thanks to the publication of the St George’s Market Shoppers Charter. The new Charter was officially launched on Friday by the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tom Ekin, and the President of the National Market Traders Federation, Joe Harrison.
