St George's Market was built between 1890 and 1896 and has been selected for numerous local and national titles and awards.

It was named the UK's Best Large Indoor Market 2014 by the National Association of British Market Authorities and was voted the nation's favourite Heritage project in the 2014 National Lottery Awards.
