Two Arrested In Drugs Operation
Two men have been arrested in Manchester by detectives investigating the supply of controlled drugs into Northern Ireland.
The suspects, aged 23 and 24, were arrested on Wednesday morning and brought back to Northern Ireland for questioning.
They have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Detective Inspector Tom McClure from Organised Crime Branch said: "The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into an organised crime group which has been involved in bringing controlled drugs into Northern Ireland. Over the past year we have made a number of major drugs seizures in Northern Ireland amounting to more than £2m. Seventeen people have already been charged as part of this investigation."

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.
