Britons appear in court over Faliraki death

Two men from Northern Ireland appeared in a Greek court today in connection with the death of fellow countryman, Paddy Doran who was stabbed to death on the holiday island of Rhodes on Tuesday.

Both men, alongside eight other Britons, were formally charged in court with the death of the 17-year-old who died following a fight in a bar in the resort of Faliraki. He was stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter with intent, the other nine face less serious charges.

Statements from the men are not expected until Monday.

Donaldson And Wife Enter Not Guilty Pleas
Sir Jeffrey Donaldson and his wife Eleanor have both pleaded not guilty to a total of 21 charges in their latest appearance at Newry Crown Court today, Tuesday 10 September. A 59-year-old woman has been arrested on an extradition warrant issued by Hungary for seven theft offences. The woman is due to appear before an extradition court today, 26 July, for the offences which are alleged to have taken place in the Budapest area in 2020 and 2021.

Two People Charged Over Kevin Davidson Murder
Two people have been charged with the murder of Kevin Davidson whose body was found at a property on Donegall Avenue on Saturday 20 July. Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have charged a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman with the murder of Mr Davidson who was reported missing earlier this month.

21-Year-Old Charged With The Murder Of His Mother
A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the murder of a 43-year-old woman in east Belfast on Friday, 13 September. The suspect has been named by the PSNI as Nathan Simpson, and he is charged with the murder of his mother, Rachel Simpson, at her home on the Castlereagh Road last Friday.
