Finance Minister Brings Google To Belfast
Finance Minister Simon Hamilton MLA has helped to bring Google to Belfast to help small businesses grow their online presence.
The Minister will host a Google 'Juice Bar' event today, Wednesday 26th November, at Ulster University Business School in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Experts from Google will deliver the digital skills master class for 200 of Northern Ireland’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Minister Hamilton said: "I am very clear about the need to encourage innovation, use opportunities to do things differently and do things better. Evidence shows us that boosting online presence and using the internet effectively can drive growth for small businesses. This Google Juice Bar provides a chance for small businesses to get better at digital marketing, and I am incredibly encouraged that so many have taken this opportunity."
Google staff will be on hand at the event to give one-to-one consultations, tips, guidance and practical advice on creating a website as well as the effective use of Google tools, Adwords and Social Media.
