Police offer reward into NI man's murder

Police in England are offering a £10,000 reward for information into the murder of a Northern Ireland man one year ago.

Thomas Breen, 50, was stabbed outside the Elephant's Head pub in Camden, north London, on August 10, 2002 after being caught in an altercation between two other individuals.

The father-of-two, who was a builder who regularly commuted to London for work, was found collapsed in the street following the incident. He later died in hospital.

Police are looking for two suspects. One is described at as a white male, about 30-years-old, 5'10" tall and of stocky build.

The second man is in his 20s, of similar build, with short dark hair.

The first suspect is believed to have carried out the two stabbings which killed Mr Breen.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Two Arrests Made In Connection With Death Of Elderly Man In Dromore
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.
