Funeral Service Held For Farmer
A funeral service has been held for one of two men who died last week following an accident on a Co Donegal farm.
On Friday (21 November), Seamus Hegarty and his friend Kevin Woods were fixing a puncture on a tractor wheel, when a tyre exploded. A steel rim is understood to have blown off the vehicle and hit the two men.
Mr Hegarty, 51, was a father of four.
A requiem Mass was held for him at St Patrick's Church in Murlog.
A funeral service for Mr Woods will be held tomorrow (25 November).
Minister Visits Newtownards Airfield
Finance Minister Simon Hamilton MLA has paid a visit to Newtownards Airfield. During his visit, he viewed the aircraft that is used by Land and Property Services (LPS) to capture aerial imagery.
This captured imagery is then used to maintain and update the detailed Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland (OSNI) map database and create 3D digital terrain models.
Minister Hamilton said: "I am delighted to see at first hand the aircraft used and cutting edge technology responsible for producing such detailed and accurate maps that we see in everyday use throughout Government and the public sector.
"This impressive technology ensures the whole of Northern Ireland is photographed every two years and this photography is used by LPS Mapping Directorate to update the detailed Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland (OSNI) map database and to create 3D digital terrain models.
"These maps are used widely throughout government and the private sector – for updating agricultural maps used by farmers; managing our utilities; and helping to plan the delivery of our public services."
Woman Injured In Car-Jacking
A woman has been left injured after she was dragged from her car.
The incident happened just off the Dublin Road in Belfast on Friday night.
At around 7.45pm, a man opened the driver's door of the woman's white Audi A3. He grabbed the woman and forced her from the vehicle before he got inside and drove off in the car.
The woman is said to have been left with bruises following the attack.
Her car was later found in the Jamaica Street area in the north of the city.
The hijacker has been described as being between 18 and 25 years of age, of slim build and with a Belfast accent. He was wearing a dark coloured hat and had a scarf covering his face.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

A woman from Belfast has been scammed of over £4,000 on a fake used car sales website. The 32-year-old victim was caught out when she bought a 2012 Ford Focus she saw on a used car sales website of a business claiming to be based in England. She spoke online with the business before agreeing to make a bank transfer payment of £4,200.

Prison Staff Attacked
Three female prison officers have been attacked and injured in Maghaberry prison. Just days after high-level political praise for the work of an organisation, which supports injured prison staff, the attack took place during visiting time on Friday. Staff had spotted a visitor trying to smuggle a watch to a prisoner and intervened.
