Lisburn Firm Wins Business In China
AB Pneumatics in Lisburn has won new business in China worth around £600,000 a year with assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.
The contract, announced at the start of the latest Invest NI trade mission to China, involves the supply of air springs for vehicle seating to Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) in Shanghai.
Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI Trade Director, welcoming the new business, which was announced by Peter Blair, Managing Director of AB Pneumatics, said: "This is tremendous news for AB Pneumatics, and a marvellous endorsement of the consistently high quality of this company's products and its ability to meet CVG's delivery and other requirements. It positions AB Pneumatics to benefit from CVG's growth in what is now the world's biggest and most dynamic market for commercial vehicles.
"This contract is a further example of the strengthening business relationship between China and Northern Ireland. Our focus on the market, and associated programme of visits, is designed to encourage and assist businesses to identify opportunities just like this one. As a result of this strategic focus more Northern Ireland companies than ever before are doing worthwhile business in China."
