Judge Injured In M1 Crash

A district judge is in hospital receiving treatment after he was injured in a three-vehicle crash on the M1 today.

The judge was on his way to court when his close protection car was involved in the incident, which occurred this morning.

Police have confirmed one of the other vehicles involved was a PSNI vehicle.

Three people have been taken to Craigavon Area Hospital, although the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The incident occurred close to junction 11 and caused long delays on the M1 westbound. The road has now been reopened.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said it has notified the Police Ombudsman's Office.

One person has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the Rathfriland Road, Newry. The victim is believed to be have suspected concussion and facial injuries. Ambulance Crew Involved In M1 Crash
An ambulance crew has been involved in a crash in Belfast as they were attempting to resuscitate a young baby on the M1 motorway. The crew had been flagged down on Kennedy Way to help an infant who had stopped breathing, when a lorry collided with the ambulance at 11am today. The lorry was approaching the Broadway roundabout.

A man and a woman have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with a County Tyrone murder. Pat Ward, a father-of-four, was found dead in an alleyway in McCrea Park in Clogher on the morning of Saturday 09 February.
