Security alert at Belfast Telegraph declared a hoax

A security alert at the offices of the Belfast Telegraph has been declared a hoax.

Roads in and around the Telegraph's offices in Royal Avenue were cordoned off shortly before lunchtime on Monday morning. They were reopened a short time later.

Today's incident was the second time in four days that the Belfast Telegraph has been targeted by terrorists.

On Friday a bomb alert sparked traffic chaos in Royal Avenue - and like today's incident, it was also declared a hoax.
