Dog recovering After Acid Attack
A dog is currently recovering after being attacked with acid in Newcastle, County Down.
The incident occurred on Thursday sometime between 19:00 and 21:00 in the Burren Meadows area of Castlewellan Road.
It is reported that a corrosive substance was poured on the back of the family dog and taken to a vet for treatment.
The dog is said to be recovering.
Appeal Over Newtownabbey Armed Robbery
Detectives in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Ballyearl Drive area.
Just after 19:30 on 19 September, three armed and masked males entered a takeaway restaurant and demanded money, before making off on foot in the direction of the Ballycraigy area.
One of the males is believed to have been armed with a suspected firearm. He is described as being approximately 5'7" tall, of slim build and was wearing a black hooded jacket, navy tracksuit bottoms and gloves.
A second was armed with a baseball bat. He is described at being about 5'' tall, of "chubby" build and wearing a dark grey hooded top and jogging bottoms.
The third male was armed with a snooker cue and wore a navy hooded top and yellow gloves.
Arson Attack Under Investigation, Crumlin
A suspected arson attack has been carried out in the Main Street area of Crumlin, County Antrim in the early hours of Saturday 20 September.
Sometime between 03:20 and 03:40, it is reported that a silver Peugeot van was set on fire in the area.
The car was destroyed and damage was caused to a takeway restaurant. Residents from flats above the commercial premises escaped without injury.
Distraction Burglary Targets Pensioner
A distraction burglary has been carried out against a 90-year-old man in Newtownabbey.
At approximately 10:00 on 20 September, a man called at the property in the Barna Square area. The caller claimed he was from the Housing Executive and was there to check the water. It is believed that a sum of cash was taken while the man was in the flat.
The man is described as being aged in his mid 20s, approximately 5'10" tall, of slim build with short fair hair. He was wearing a t-shirt and was carrying a clipboard and had a pass with his photo on it.

Search Continues For Human Remains In Wicklow
Mechanical diggers are being used to aid forensic scientists who are still working at the site near Blessington in Co Wicklow where human remains were found earlier this week. A large Gardaí forensic tent covers the dig area which is under round-the-clock armed protection by police officers.

Armed Men Rob Shop In Sandy Row Area
Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a shop in the Sandy Row area in Belfast on Saturday. Two men, armed with knives, entered the premises at around 6.45pm. One man stole a quantity of cigarettes and money from the till, while the other man stood at the door.

Police officers in Lurgan have appealed for information following an armed robbery in the town on Saturday. Two males armed with screwdrivers entered a supermarket at Sloan Street at approximately 2.45pm. They took a sum of cash from a till before making off in the direction of the Shankill area of Lurgan.
