Clonallon Laboratories Secures Middle East Deal

Clonallon Laboratories Ltd, a medical supply company based in Warrenpoint, has secured its first major deal in the Middle East.

The company, which supplies custom sterile procedure packs, surgical instruments and medical supplies to the healthcare industry, won the contract to supply £250,000 worth of procedure packs in Kuwait.

Invest NI will support the creation of seven new jobs as part of the investment, and will be in management, administration and production roles.

The news has been welcomed by Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster, who said: "Clonallon Laboratories has been growing steadily for a number of years, thanks to its excellent reputation for prompt supply of products under very tight deadlines and its investment in new product development.

"Its aim is to achieve significant export sales growth, and this contract is a significant milestone on that journey."

Dermot Dempster, who established Clonallon Laboratories in 2002, added: "This is an exciting development for the company and follows a concerted effort to develop export sales. Last year, with Invest Northern Ireland's support, we undertook an extensive marketing campaign to target new business outside Northern Ireland. This contract is one result of that activity."
