Car Set On Fire In Dunmurry

A vehicle has been set alight in a suspected arson attack in Dunmurry, Co Antrim.

The car, a blue Peugeot 107, was set on fire at Yew Tree Walk in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police believe the attack is a hate crime after sectarian graffiti was found close to the incident.

Another car, which was parked close by, was also damaged.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Delivery Driver's Car Set On Fire In Co Down
Police have launched an investigation after a delivery driver's car was set on fire while he was sitting in the vehicle in Co Down. The man, aged in his 40s, was delivering food to a house in Fairfield Place in Newtownards when the attack happened at around 10.45pm on Tuesday, 06 February.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Belfast primary school targeted in arson attack
More than 100 primary six and primary seven pupils at a Belfast school have been told not to attend school after an arson attack at the weekend damaged classrooms. In all three classrooms at St Anne’s primary school in Dunmurry were destroyed in a fire causing damage estimated at a quarter of a million pounds.

Orange Hall 'Blazing Ram-Raid' Fails
A 'ram-raid' style attack on a rural Orange Hall has been condemned. As the PSNI appealed for information, details emerged of how a car was rammed through the padlocked steel gates of Sheepbridge Orange Hall before it was set on fire and destroyed, although no damage was caused to the building.

60 jobs to go at car parts plant
Around 60 jobs will be lost in Co Fermanagh after a car parts plant announced that it is to close. The Kent Plastics factory at Derrychara, which has made car parts for almost 40 years, will close after its main customer moved production from the plant in a cost-cutting exercise.
