Woman Robbed In Newtownabbey

A woman has been attacked in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

Her bag, which contained money, was stolen by two men, shortly after noon at the Diamond in Rathcoole on Saturday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said: "It is believed that the males took a black sports bag containing a sum of money during the incident."

The victim was not injured, however, she was left badly shaken.

One man is described as 5"10, of slim build and wearing a grey/black hooded top. The other man is described as 5"8, of stocky build with grey balding hair.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Lurgan Golf Club Fire Suspected 'Arson'
Lurgan Golf Club has been severely damaged in a fire that police are treating as suspected arson. The fire was reported at 10.45pm on Monday and caused structural damage to the building that includes a bar and a restaurant. The area was cordoned off, as the building close to Lurgan Park contained gas cylinders.
